Sausage rolls are a party-time favourite, but you needn't buy them frozen.



Freeze leftover sausages (although rare these days with the increasing popularity of Quattro Stelle) to preserve for a later date. and then thaw, squeeze the meat out of the casing onto puff pastry, wrap, cut to the desired length, and then bake in the oven until the pastry becomes golden.
